All of the machines pictured in this group are fully functional, have straight guide rods and good pivot point bushings or bearings, have tight non stretched chains, have not been abused by improper use or improper moving techniques, have good padding and covering and show very little wear . The 14 units shown on this website are from my private collection and are my personal machines. These are cherry picked examples from various lots I have purchased over the years. Many are from personal collections, private facilities and other light use environments. They are very clean examples with only the most minor wear showing - a few small paint flaws, and the most minute pad wear if any.

SHIPPING within an 800 mile radius of St. Louis Missouri is available at a decent rate

The Double Chest pictured here is as clean as any I have ever seen including almost brand new ones back in the 70s.

The pictures hopefully will convey the condition of the machines accurately. Look at the 5th picture showing the reflection of the chain and cam jeweling in the beautiful chocolate brown paint. Look at the condition of the foot pads in the 4th picture. This machine is in excellent plus condition.

It is hard enough making a decision to purchase something from a distance especially when the usual blurry low resolution photos and vague descriptions that often accompany an internet sale listing are all you have to go on. I try to eliminate this factor with detailed descriptions and as high quality photos as possible.

The mechanicals of these machines in as near perfect as can be. The finish original and the appearance is exceptional.

The Brown machines are the latest versions of these machine towards the end of the first generation run that have all of the updates and improvements that were developed along the way - in short the absolute best of the best.

I am sure people familiar with these machines will still see a great set of equipment that is priced in the range associated with very strong examples of this type of equipment

This is a near perfect Double Shoulder

Excellent condition 10 Degree Chest

Excellent plus condition Leg Curl

Excellent plus condition LOW FRICTION ROW

Rarely seen unit especially in THIS condition - Take a look at the paint and pads - just like brand new on all of these units.

Excellent plus condition Super Pullover II

Take a look at the reflection of the building walls in the shields. Those are not chrome shields, but black painted. This is the original finish on this machine with the original Nautilus Serial Number tag on it - NOT a repaint or refurbish.

It is impossible to find this equipment in this condition this late in the game

These are the original Nautilus Time Machines from the early 1970s - most likely 1972 on these units.

This is the Behind Neck

These machines are impossible to find and we will not sell them for low offers so don't ask. These machines were obtained from friends of the original purchaser who bought them in 1972 after a trip to Deland Florida to do face to face business with and to be trained by Arthur Jones. The original owner was a well known personality in the early iron game in California back in the mid 1960s till his death in the 90s and is well remembered by remaining original crew from Deland.

The Super Pullover Pulldown unit at the end of the page is Serial Number 378 and we got it from it's original owner who purchased it in 1973 and I can guarantee you it was built AFTER these 5 machines. These machines are so early they don't even have serial number placards on them

The condition of these machines is far above average, but they show wear. The main wear is on the chrome finish of the movement arms. The paint has been touched up by maintenance techs on some of them, but they do not appear to be repainted. The pads are recovered.

3 of them have the early spiral cam cast stack with bushing plates. 4 of them have the welded spoke spiral cams.

Production numbers were extremely low on these machines and they are rare as can be. Most likely under a hundred units per machine and possibly as low as 50 on some. These machines were cable drive instead of chain drive like most are familiar with. They have chromed pulleys or sprockets and use a thin wire rope

The Holy Grail of Nautilus machines - the Omni Bicep. Extremely low production numbers on this unit.

The Nautilus factory reported they made as few as 50 of these units, possibly less.

This one still has the rubber neoprene endcaps on the hammer counterweight. We had one in 1975 and they were gone on it right away. Also, the arm connecting the counterweight to the movement arm is NOT BENT. This is very rare on these units as the momentum of the dropping weight usually trashed this weak linking tube.

The function of this unit is perfect. The cam, gears and pivot points are in excellent shape. The weak unsupported and non connected lower right side of the frame where all of the moving parts reside is undamaged and in great shape on this one - another rarity.

The last one of these I saw sell went for $4000.00 on ebay. It was in far lower grade condition than this one.

Another extremely rare unit the first version of the Compound Tricep

This unit is cable drive and has the early cast weightstack. These weight stack plates are unique as there are several slightly different castings that can be seen from plate to plate.

This machine operates as smooth as can be and its thin tube frame is not bent or damaged like many of these machines are. This one has the larger earlier frame and seat adjuster version. Advertisements by 1973 showed a different seat adjuster. This combined with the original owners claim of purchasing them in 1972 almost positively dates them

Spider cam, cast plate Compound Bicep - early seat adjuster version.

This is a dream for any collector or trainer. One of the best peak arm machines ever built.

The chrome is a little worn on the movement arms, but all in all this unit is in excellent shape.

Action is smooth and precise - no play from wear or abuse

Super rare early Rowing Torso

You just don't see these. Period

This one has a cast spiral shell weight stack and pretty darn even movement arms. Cable drive

Super rare - super awesome

I am sure people familiar with these machines will still see a great set of equipment that is priced in the range associated with very strong examples of this type of equipment

This is a SPPD - Supper Pullover Pull Down

This is the machine pictures at left - it is shown below in 2 sections. The pulldown unit is shown standing up in the last picture.

This machine is rare as can be as they only made a couple hundred of the pulldown units, but the fact that it is serial number 378 makes it a nice find as well.

This machines original owner had it serviced under warranty work where the Nautilus factory removed the spider cam midsection and movement arm and upgraded the unit to the modern cam configuration. The two distinctly different colored frame sections can seen pictured below. It also had pie shape shields installed and it also had the stack upgraded to the modern style stack. It is the newest of the 6 blue machines on this page and still is only serial 378.
